Vocus has quadrupled the capacity of its Perth-to-Adelaide optical fibre route to handle growing demand without new construction. Multiplex recently topped out Stage Two of NEXTDC’s Perth data centre following an AUD $110 million investment that doubles the facility’s IT capacity, adding local processing power that can reduce delays for everyday applications.

Perth-founded Advanced Navigation has raised AUD $158 million to expand its high-tech production site in Balcatta. The funding targets GPS-replacing technology that offers more dependable positioning, particularly useful in areas where satellite signals can be unreliable. Residents may benefit through improved accuracy in mapping apps, logistics and outdoor activities that depend on precise location data.
