Perth Tech Startups Accelerate with New Cohorts and Funding Activity This Month

Twelve Perth startups joined the latest intake of the city’s main accelerator program on July 10, bringing the total number of active participants to 47 for the second half of 2026.
The timing aligns with rising national interest in practical AI applications for households and workplaces, giving local teams a chance to test products before wider release.
Most of the new cohort will work out of the TechPerth facility on Murray Street in the central business district, while a smaller group focused on hardware will use the Subiaco Innovation Lab on Rokeby Road for prototype testing.
Recent Funding and Event Activity
State government figures released on July 5 showed AUD 12.3 million in early-stage funding for Perth tech companies during the April to June quarter, an increase of AUD 3.6 million from the same period last year.
Founders have also scheduled three investor nights at venues near Elizabeth Quay in the coming fortnight, with the next session set for July 17.

Teams still seeking entry can submit applications for the next open intake by July 28 through the program’s site, with decisions expected by early August.
Anyone wanting to attend the July 17 session should register in advance, as capacity at the Elizabeth Quay venue is limited to 80 people.
