Perth Tech Roadmap Details Future Products and Developments Coming Next

Perth company Realities WA confirmed on July 10 it will release a camera-free smart glasses model by November, followed by two household AI integrations in the first quarter of 2027.

The announcements arrive as global firms shift focus toward family-oriented and workplace tools, giving Perth developers a chance to secure local contracts before larger players expand into Western Australia.

Perth sites prepare for rollout

Testing of the glasses prototype has occurred at the innovation lab on Hay Street in the Perth CBD and at the co-working space in Subiaco run by the WA Innovation Network. Both locations already host pilot programs that link local startups with Curtin University engineering teams for hardware trials.

The company expects the first 500 units to ship to businesses along Stirling Street in Northbridge, where several accounting and design firms have signed early access agreements. A second phase will open the devices to household users through a partnership with the City of Perth’s digital inclusion program that began in March 2025.

Numbers behind the schedule

Realities WA has allocated 2.8 million dollars to the project, with 40 percent already spent on component sourcing from suppliers in Malaysia. Internal forecasts show the glasses will sell for 890 dollars per unit once production scales in December. The household AI features will carry a monthly subscription of 12 dollars, matching the pricing model used in the company’s current office software that reached 1,200 active Perth users last month.

Teams at both test sites will run final hardware checks through September, with public demonstrations scheduled at the Perth Convention Centre on October 15. Residents interested in the household version can register interest through the City of Perth website starting next week, with priority given to households already using the council’s energy monitoring app.
