Perth Tech and Startup Scene Shows Fresh Activity This July

Activity on the ground
Teams working out of the East Perth Innovation Precinct on Royal Street and the Northbridge co-working space at 191 James Street have scheduled joint demo days for the last week of July. Both locations now run weekly founder office hours and share access to a shared hardware lab that opened in March.
One East Perth group is testing a logistics tool with a local transport firm, while the Northbridge team is trialling a compliance platform aimed at small mining contractors. Both projects plan to move into paid pilots by September.
Numbers behind the push
State records show 27 new company registrations tagged as tech or software in the Perth metropolitan area during June, up from 19 the same month last year. Average round size for seed deals tracked by the WA Investment Office sits at 1.4 million dollars, with most cheques landing between 800,000 and 2 million dollars.
Founders who want to join the next intake can register through the East Perth precinct site before 25 July. Slots for the Northbridge sessions fill on a first-come basis each Monday morning.
